Laish are indie folk heroes featuring the finest musical talent that the Brighton's renowned Willkommen Collective has to offer. Daniel Green's voice is like no other, from a deep and warm brogue to a soaring falsetto and framed by angelic harmonies, violin, clarinet, accordion, drums and bass.
The band performed a triumphant set on the main stage at this year's No Direction Home Festival and have previously appeared at The Big Chill Festival and Burning Eagle Festival.
They have received glowing reviews from MOJO Magazine and radio play on BBC 6Music Folk Radio UK and Amazing Radio.
"Beguiling songs of love and fasting" - MOJO
"Having supported almost everyone you could possibly think of, from Peggy Sue and Grizzly Bear, to Beach House and Sons of Noel and Adrian, this band hardly need introducing... Laish, curated by heroes from the Willkommen Collective, sing songs of brutal honesty, decorated with areas of playful humour, and of the utmost charm." - FOD FOLKS SAKE
"Very special indeed" - WHISPERINANDHOLLERIN

Injured Birds emerge from Nottingham's flourishing Indie-Folk scene. The sound of Injured Birds, however, could easily have been born from a wood cabin in the darkest, deepest American forest. Perhaps a very welcome result of Injured Birds recent days on the road touring the U.S.A's Midwestern highways and venues.
While comparisons seem wrong when Injured Birds are offering something of a unique sound, it can't be ignored that they share a little something of Bon Iver's earthy, fragile beauty. In both front man Samuel Kirk's forlorn lyricism and heartbreaking falsetto vocal, the latter having been described by James Yuill as a"beautiful sonic syrup". The music too is one of simplistic heart-wrenching strings, harmonium, piano and adept acoustic guitar plucking.
Injured Birds release the single 'Happy As Clams' on the 3rd September. The track is taken from Injured Birds debut album 'Silver Birches' which follows on 5th November. Both are released via Denizen Recordings (a recent Huw Stephens 'Label of Love').

Katy Carr's music is inspired by themes, stories and characters from 1940s Britain, France and Poland. Boasting a wide variety of performances from The Royal Opera House to Glastonbury music festival together with regular appearances on BBC radio, this eccentric and eclectic performer delivers her self -penned folk songs, with verve and humour. Expect the gentle tone of a Spitfire Mk 1 as it soars with balletic grace in the skies above and maybe the roaring of a 1936 Mercedes-Benz 500K racing around the Berliner Ring in the midday heat...
"Katy Carr has a lot going for her. Her sensual vocal delivery and the frisson of sophistication emanating from her best songs gropes towards timelessness. Her 'Coquette' is a beguiling beauty who breezes through enemy lines, but believe me you'll follow her. Hear these siren's songs and you'll be smitten." 8/10 Whisperin and Hollerin
